We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commis Chef with expertise in the cold section to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in preparing cold dishes, salads, appetizers, and dressings in a professional kitchen environment. You will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in the preparation and presentation of cold section dishes, including salads, cold appetizers, and other menu items.
2. Ensure proper portion control and consistency in food quality.
3. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cold station, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
4. Prepare ingredients, sauces, and garnishes required for the cold section as per recipes and instructions.
5. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during service.
6. Monitor stock levels for cold section ingredients and communicate requirements to the Head Chef.
7. Follow kitchen protocols and maintain high standards in food handling and storage.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, specializing in the cold section.
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and team collaboration skills.
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and improve skills.
