Job Description
Summary-
As a Commis I, you will assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes in a professional kitchen setting. You will work under the supervision of a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to ensure high-quality and timely food production.
Job Responsibility-
- Follow recipes and guidelines provided by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including cutting, chopping, and marinating
- Cook food according to set standards and specifications
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Monitor food stock and communicate any shortages to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
Candidate Requirements-
- Proven experience as a Commis or in a similar role
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions closely
- Basic culinary skills and understanding of various cooking techniques
- Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude
