Commissioning Specialist Heater (Boiler Commissioning)

We are recruiting a Commissioning Specialist Heater (Boiler Commissioning) for a large refinery commissioning project in Saudi Arabia.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS

1) Steam blowing / Lube oil flushing experience

2) Refractory dry-out experience for boiler or heater

3) Cooling water flushing / passivation experience

4) MRT (Mechanical Running Test) experience

Basic Functions:

The primary function of the Commissioning Specialist Heater (Boiler Commissioning) is to ensure that all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for Heater discipline are prepared and executed according to the OPERCOM methodology in a safe manner and according to the planned schedule.

Main Accountabilities:

The main accountabilities include ensuring that Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) is given the highest priority, coordinating and approving the quality and completeness of deliverables, assisting Commissioning Unit leaders in witnessing and monitoring pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, reviewing pre-commissioning dossiers, and ensuring the care and maintenance of equipment by EPCC Contractor. The specialist is also responsible for monitoring all Heater commissioning activities, reviewing and commenting on test procedures, and liaising with other teams to ensure a smooth transition from commissioning to start-up phase.

Qualifications:

The position requires an engineer level or above education, high knowledge of Heater activities within a petrochemical site, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar position. Specific skills include knowledge of EPCC contract management, OPERCOM, and ICAPS. The candidate should be methodic, organized, have a good team spirit, and be fluent in English, with Arabic being a plus.

Contract duration: 12 months (with extensions possible)
