Overview

Our client is a privately held investment and business development platform based in Singapore. The organization takes a long-term approach to investing across a diverse range of asset classes while also fostering a high-quality network of investors, entrepreneurs, and business leaders across Asia.

In addition to investment activities, the firm is building an invitation-only community where influential individuals can exchange ideas, build trusted relationships, and explore collaboration opportunities. This role - Chief of Staff / Community & Operations Lead will play a key part in supporting both the operational and relationship-building aspects of that ecosystem.

This is a highly visible, business-facing role that sits at the intersection of operations, stakeholder management, events, and executive support.

Working closely with the Founder, you will oversee community operations, coordinate exclusive networking events, support investment-related workflows, and manage relationships with external professional advisers. The role offers significant exposure to senior business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs across the region.

The ideal candidate combines exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong ability to execute, organize, and manage multiple priorities with precision.

Key Responsibilities1. Community & Event Management

  • Coordinate and execute a range of curated networking activities, from intimate private gatherings to larger flagship events
  • Manage all aspects of event delivery, including concept development, venue sourcing, invitation management, and on-site execution
  • Act as host and primary point of contact for participants
  • Build and maintain relationships with community members, prospective participants, and strategic partners
  • Conduct post-event engagement and maintain participant records within CRM systems
  • Continuously improve community operating processes and member experience
  • Support expansion of community initiatives across regional markets, including Japan

2. Research & Business Operations Support


  • Collect, organize, and maintain research materials and market information from various public sources
  • Assist with internal research workflows and information management processes
  • Maintain tracking materials, reporting schedules, and operational databases
  • Support ongoing monitoring of relevant companies, sectors, and investment themes

3. External Vendor & Project Coordination


  • Coordinate with external service providers, including legal, accounting, tax, compliance, and administrative partners
  • Track key deadlines, documentation requirements, and regulatory obligations
  • Manage invoices, expense administration, and payment processes
  • Ensure projects involving external stakeholders are delivered on time

4. Communications & Content Support


  • Coordinate social media activities and publication schedules
  • Review and refine content before publication
  • Track engagement metrics and prepare basic reporting
  • Support production and coordination of event-related content and communications materials

5. Executive Support


  • Manage complex calendars and scheduling requirements
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries
  • Prepare meeting materials and briefing documents
  • Facilitate communication with key external stakeholders and partners

Success Measures


Performance will be evaluated through:

  • Successful execution and attendance of events
  • Quality of participant experience and engagement
  • Timeliness and accuracy of follow-up activities
  • Effectiveness of relationship-building initiatives
  • Delivery of projects within agreed timelines
  • Accuracy and efficiency of operational and administrative processes

Required Qualifications


  • Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English to liaise with Japanese speaking stakeholders
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within financial services, investment management, banking, wealth management, or a related environment
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment concepts
  • Experience managing relationships with senior executives, investors, entrepreneurs, or high-net-worth individuals
  • Experience organizing client events, networking functions, or stakeholder engagement initiatives
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency with business productivity tools such as Google Workspace and Excel
  • Comfortable using technology platforms and digital tools

Preferred Qualifications


  • Professional investment-related qualifications are advantageous
  • Experience supporting investment research, portfolio operations, or capital markets activities
  • Exposure to content creation, social media management, or event marketing
  • Previous experience within an entrepreneurial, investment, or private-office environment
  • Existing authorization to work in Singapore
