Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee large-scale aviation infrastructure projects within the GCC region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working with main contractors on complex airport developments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while adhering to international standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for airport terminals, runways, and associated infrastructure.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement detailed construction schedules aligned with project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Resource Management:
- Manage labor, equipment, and material resources efficiently to optimize productivity.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and resolve any issues promptly.
- Quality & Safety:
- Enforce strict adherence to HSE standards and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain quality control.
- Reporting:
- Prepare progress reports, cost tracking, and risk assessments for senior management.
- Provide accurate updates on project status and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional certifications (PMP, RICS, or equivalent) are an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of progressive construction experience, with at least 5 years in a Construction Manager role in the aviation sector.
- Proven experience working with main contractors on large-scale airport or aviation projects.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
Preferred Attributes:
- Familiarity with mega projects and Vision 2030 initiatives in Saudi Arabia.
