We are Stony Creek Homes, a Washington, DC based house flipping company, and we're looking for a
Construction Project Manager to join us remotely and move our projects forward.
IMPORTANT: If you are a clock-puncher who needs a rigid manual and constant hand-holding to function, this is not the place for you.
We are looking for a senior-level leader who actually enjoys the challenge of bringing order to chaos in a fast-moving company.
As our Construction Project Manager, you are the
Agent of Progress and the
conductor of every build. You take 100% ownership, meaning you are directly responsible for the success or failure of your projects.
The Job

- Focus: Managing a portfolio of 10+ concurrent residential projects (5 active, 5 pre-construction).
- Mission: Your mission is to be the Agent of Progress who takes 100% responsibility for the success or failure of your project portfolio. You are the conductor of the orchestra, not a spectator; you will orchestrate estimators, drafters, and field teams to ensure every project is delivered on time and on budget.
What You'll Do
- Own the Outcome: You are ultimately responsible for the success or failure of your project portfolio. You don't just watch projects happen; you drive them to completion.
- Drive 10+ Projects at Once: You will manage at least 10 residential projects simultaneously5 in active construction and 5 in pre-construction.
- Act as the Conductor: You are the central nervous system of our operations. You will orchestrate estimators, drafters, superintendents, and field teams to keep everyone in sync.
- Predict the Future: You will forecast budgets, schedules, and resource needs across every project. You are expected to identify risks and catch scope creep before it becomes a crisis.
- Build the Road Map: We are scaling fast. You won't just follow a process; you will build the frameworks, templates, and tracking systems we need to grow.
- Unstick the Gears: When a project hits a wall, you remove the blockage. You don't wait for permission to solve problems; you exercise judgment and take action.
- Protect the Bottom Line: You will monitor budgets and schedules daily. You must ensure field teams don't make unauthorized changes that impact our profits or timelines.
- Lead with Maturity: You will lead through influence and collaboration, not threats or micromanagement.
What You Bring

- Tools: Expert-level proficiency with MS Project or Primavera and Gantt chart methodologies.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to intimately study and interpret construction drawings, specs, and scope documents.
