Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and provide treatment plans for patients with colorectal diseases
- Conduct a wide range of surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and open surgeries for conditions such as colorectal cancer, diverticulitis, and inflammatory bowel disease
- Offer non-surgical management options for various colorectal conditions
- Collaborate with oncologists, gastroenterologists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, procedures, and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Participate in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in colon and rectal surgery
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with specialization in General Surgery and additional training in Colon and Rectal Surgery
- Board certification in Colon and Rectal Surgery
- Current medical license to practice
- Extensive experience in performing a range of colorectal surgical procedures
- Strong knowledge of gastrointestinal anatomy, pathology, and surgical techniques
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide patient-centered care
- Proven track record of collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
