A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Consultant Family Medicine / Primary Care Physician to join its multidisciplinary clinical team. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care across all age groups, emphasizing preventive medicine, early diagnosis, and long-term health management.
Role Overview
- Setting: Primary Care / Family Medicine Department (Outpatient Clinic or Hospital-Based)
- Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post board certification
- Scope: Comprehensive care for individuals and families across all age groups
- Practice Model: Preventive care, chronic disease management, and continuity of care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages (adults, pediatrics, geriatrics)
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Conduct routine health check-ups, screenings, and preventive care services
- Develop and implement personalized treatment and care plans
- Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and cardiovascular conditions
- Promote preventive health through vaccinations, lifestyle counseling, and health education
- Perform minor clinical procedures as appropriate within scope of practice
- Coordinate patient care with specialists and allied healthcare professionals
- Ensure continuity of care through regular follow-ups and patient monitoring
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records in compliance with regulations
- Respond to urgent and non-emergency medical cases in a timely manner
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and adherence to best practices
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention and health maintenance
Eligibility & Qualifications
Candidates should hold one of the following (or equivalent recognized qualifications):
- American Board Certification in Family Medicine
- Membership / Fellowship of the Royal College (UK / Canada)
- Arab Board of Family Medicine
- Equivalent internationally recognized qualification.
