Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Consultant Gastroenterologist to join a leading healthcare organization in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will provide expert care in diagnosing and managing gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders, perform advanced endoscopic procedures, and contribute to high clinical standards within a modern, multidisciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, and ERCP (if applicable)
- Interpret imaging, laboratory results, and endoscopic findings to develop evidencebased treatment plans
- Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, dietitians, and other specialists to ensure integrated patient care
- Participate in oncall duties as required by the department
- Educate patients on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options
- Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with Saudi healthcare regulations
- Contribute to departmental quality improvement, clinical audits, and patient safety initiatives
- Support training and mentorship of junior doctors, residents, and allied health staff
- Stay updated with advancements in gastroenterology and incorporate new techniques into practice
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
- Board certification in Gastroenterology
- Minimum 5 years of postqualification experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy
- Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fastpaced clinical environment
- Must hold or be eligible for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) licensing
