We are hiring Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians, or physiatrists, diagnose, treat, and manage disorders of the muscles, bones, nerves, and brain to restore function, reduce pain, and improve quality of life.
Key Responsibilities of a Physiatrist
- Patient Assessment & Diagnosis: Evaluate patients with disabilities or injuries affecting movement and function.
- Treatment Planning: Develop holistic, personalized rehabilitation plans that may include medication, therapy, and devices.
- Functional Restoration: Focus on improving physical, psychological, social, and vocational function.
- Procedural Work: Perform electrodiagnostic studies (EMG/NCS), joint injections, and ultrasound-guided procedures.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate care with physical therapists, occupational therapists, rehab nurses, and psychologists.
- Specialized Care Areas: Manage stroke recovery, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, sports injuries, musculoskeletal pain, and spasticity.
