Role Description
The Business Operations Manager will lead the operational strategy and execution for the Egypt office, ensuring sustainable growth, operational excellence, and alignment with corporate objectives. This role is pivotal in managing business performance, enabling delivery teams, and driving organizational efficiency while acting as a key advisor to executive leadership.
This is a hybrid role with a dual focus:
- 70% Engagement Management: Leading the end-to-end delivery of consulting projects, ensuring quality, client satisfaction, and successful outcomes.
- 30% Operations Management: Overseeing the operational health of the Egypt office, including team management, financial planning, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Engagement & Delivery Management (70%)
- Own the end-to-end delivery of consulting projects or multi-workstream programs, with accountability for outcomes and project economics.
- Define the delivery approach, scope, and success metrics for each engagement, managing staffing and resources effectively.
- Lead executive discovery sessions and hypothesis framing to align sponsors and stakeholders on key decision criteria.
- Translate complex analysis into actionable recommendations and implementation plans with clearly quantified benefits.
- Chair governance forums, manage risks and issues across workstreams, and ensure the development of robust recovery plans.
- Enforce rigorous quality assurance across all deliverables, upholding the firm's brand and compliance standards.
- Develop and mentor consulting talent through on-the-job coaching, constructive feedback, and formal evaluations.
- Support business development activities by contributing to proposals, crafting points of view, and presenting in oral presentations.
Office Operations Management (30%)
- Define and execute the operational strategy for the Egypt office, translating corporate objectives into local initiatives.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the office, without direct P&L accountability.
- Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, and professional development strategies for consultants and IT professionals.
- Manage the performance and development of the Egypt-based team, either directly on engagements or in collaboration with functional managers.
- Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational resilience, efficiency, and scalability.
- Ensure the operational readiness of the office to support high-quality project execution and delivery.
- Establish and monitor business performance dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to track operational success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is required; an MBA or relevant Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are highly desirable.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic is required.
- Expert problem structuring, synthesis, and executive storytelling.
- Strong quantitative and commercial acumen, with the ability to link analysis to economic or service quality outcomes.
- Advanced program leadership, PMO governance, and benefits tracking.
- Proven team leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ethical judgment, confidentiality, and a strong awareness of risk management.
