The Opportunity
This role plays a central part in organising, coordinating and maintaining control across contractual, commercial and governance activities. It provides operational oversight, structured support and delivery discipline in an environment with multiple workstreams, stakeholders and competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support precontract and postcontract activities across a portfolio of large, complex projects
- Provide structured operational support to the Head of Contracts, helping manage priorities, workflows and information flow
- Draft, review and manage contractual correspondence, notices and formal records
- Assist with the preparation, administration and maintenance of contracts, agreements and contract registers
- Track key obligations, deadlines and deliverables to ensure contractual compliance
- Support variations, claims and contractual issues in line with contract requirements
- Assist in identifying contractual and commercial risks and supporting mitigation strategies
- Prepare clear summaries, briefing notes, trackers and decisionsupport documentation
- Contribute to claims, delay and dispute matters, including substantiation and chronologies
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants and external stakeholders on contractual issues
- Attend meetings, take concise minutes and ensure timely action followthrough
- Maintain structured, auditable records aligned with governance and assurance frameworks
What You Need to Succeed
- 10+ years experience on construction or infrastructure projects
- Background in Tier 1 developer or contractor environments with complex commercial structures
- Strong working knowledge of FIDICbased contracts
- Experience supporting contracts, commercial or project management functions on live projects
- You're a highly organised, structured, and detaildriven individual
- You have strong execution discipline and able to follow through
- You have excellent commercial judgement and professional discretion
- You're proactive, accountable doer who takes ownership and delivers
