Role Overview:

Experienced Contract Manager with a background in project management and construction management for road supervision projects (PMCM). The role involves overseeing multiple construction packages and providing comprehensive contract management, change control, and site supervision support throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee contract administration and compliance across all packages under supervision.
  • Prepare and coordinate Change Orders, ensuring alignment with client instructions and contract terms.
  • Evaluate alternative proposals from contractors and submit recommendations to the Client.
  • Recommend the rejection or suspension of works that do not conform to contract specifications.
  • Identify, specify, and manage testing and inspection requirements.
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date site records including contracts, subcontracts, daily logs, and construction documentation.
  • Prepare and update the Contract Management Manual in accordance with client standards.
  • Manage and report on contractual matters including guarantees, insurances, site possession, and obstruction removals.
  • Analyze and evaluate claims and change proposals from contractors, providing documented recommendations to the Client.
  • Participate in cost tracking audits and ensure contract conformity across all packages.

Requirements:

  • Degree or professional qualification, plus membership in a chartered institution.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in contract management on infrastructure/road projects.
  • Strong understanding of FIDIC-based contracts and different type of contracts and change management processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple contract packages concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
