An established EPC international contractor delivering complex oil and gas projects across the Middle East required a Mechanically biased Contract Manager to join the team in Abu Dhabi
As Contract Manager, you will take ownership of all contractual and commercial matters for a major offshore mechanical project. Working closely with project management, procurement, engineering, and legal teams, you will safeguard the company's contractual position while ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead contract administration for a large offshore mechanical oil & gas project
- Interpret and manage EPC contract terms and conditions
- Prepare, review, and negotiate variations, claims, and change orders
- Develop and implement claims strategies (EOT, cost claims, disruption)
- Manage correspondence with client and key subcontractors
- Provide commercial guidance to project leadership
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and risk mitigation strategies
- Support dispute resolution and negotiations where required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying etc
- 10+ years experience in contract management within oil & gas projects
- Strong experience on offshore mechanical works (fabrication, installation, piping, rotating equipment)
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC and bespoke EPC contracts
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Currently based in the UAE
