We are looking for a Contract specialist who will works closely with the Contracts & Legal organization to support project Management and the operation team in all contractual issues related to the execution of projects. The purpose is to ensure KONE enforcement of its contractual rights and compliance with all contractual obligations.

What will you do

  • Full understand the terms of KONE's contract with the customer and the terms of any subcontract agreements related to the project.
  • Ensure enforcement of KONE's contractual rights and compliance with contractual obligations by supporting the project team in:
  • Issuing notices as required under the contract.
  • Submitting and responding to EOT requests and other claims.
  • Submitting payment applications.
  • Identifying scope in line with the contract matrix.
  • Preparing variation claims.
  • Managing and reporting all project claims.
  • Resolving disputes and mitigating potential liabilities.
  • Review incoming and outgoing correspondence and advise the project team on any contractual or financial implications.
  • Ensure the timely issuance of all relevant contractual notices in accordance with the provisions of the contract.
  • Assist the project team in maintaining complete, accurate, and organized contract files and documentation.
  • Support the management and documentation of the snagging and handover process to protect KONE's liability position.
  • Collaborate with project management and finance throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure full contractual compliance and timely submission of payment and other claims.
  • Safeguard KONE's financial interests with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Support preparation and submission of applications for payment and the final account in accordance with the contract; liaise and negotiate with the customer as required.
  • Assist in resolving invoice disputes to secure the maximum benefit for the project.

Are you the one

  • Bachelor degree in law, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in contract administration, contract management, or related commercial role.
  • Excellent Arabic and English language skills.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to take initiatives.
