Job Description
The Position
Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Controller for SAGEA (Saudi Arabia, Gulf, East Africa) region. As the Controller based in Riyadh, you will report to the SAGEA Head of F&A.
Tasks & responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide effective and efficient support in various areas including Planning, Reporting, Business Partnering, and Controlling.
Planning cycle/budget process:
oCommunicate planning, guidelines, timelines, targets, and relevant data to stakeholders.
oProvide financial impact and analysis of assumption set to the business.
oSupport review meetings by generating overviews, analysis, and business support.
oEnsure timely submission of data in appropriate systems.
Business Partnering:
oImplement, align, and execute guidance provided by the regional controlling team.
oProvide operational business support with pricing, discount, and profitability analysis.
oMake recommendations for cost optimization and partnerships.
oCollect, interpret, and provide data for decision-making processes.
oConnect relevant functions in OPU and ROPU for better communication and process efficiency.
Monthly closing/supplementary reporting:
oProcess accurate and relevant accruals and provisions in financial ledgers.
oCoordinate data collection from relevant resources.
oPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with corporate policies and guidelines.
oPerform month-end routines, checks, reconciliations, and analysis.
oProvide periodical financial information and comments for OPU management.
Projects and continuous improvement:
oWork on continuous improvement topics to ensure compliance and adherence to financial regulations.
oSupport ROPU controlling team on an ad hoc basis.
Network and personal development:
oBuild and maintain external and internal network connections.
oAcquire and maintain relevant know-how and technical expertise.
Compliance Responsibility:
oOversee compliance and adherence to corporate SOPs, local regulations, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree (e.g. MBA, MSc) in Business Administration / Economics and/or Diploma degree
- 5 - 6 Years of Finance and Business Controlling experience, preferably in a multi-national Pharmaceutical organization and/or Big Four Accounting Firms.
- Experience using SAP, Tableau, Power BI, Reporting tools.
- Project management experience is a must.
- Knowledge of IFRS, CPA/SOCPA is preferred.
- Language requirements: English is a must; Arabic is preferred.
