Job Title: AI Conversational Designer / Engineer (Voicebots)
Role Overview
We are looking for a versatile AI Conversational Designer / Engineer to lead the end-to-end development of conversational AI solutions, with a strong focus on voicebots and chatbots.
This is a hybrid role combining:
- AI Engineering (development, integration, deployment)
- Prompt Engineering (design & optimization of LLM interactions)
- Conversational Design (user journeys & experience)
The role requires a professional capable of balancing technical implementation with user experience, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-performing conversational solutions aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Engineering & Integration
- Develop, configure, and deploy chatbots and voicebots across platforms
- Integrate LLMs, NLU models, and external systems (APIs, databases, telephony)
- Manage and maintain STT/TTS components to ensure high-quality voice interactions
- Ensure smooth system integration and automation across environments
2. Prompt Engineering & AI Optimization
- Design, test, and refine prompts to ensure accurate, context-aware, and consistent responses
- Build and optimize hybrid NLU + LLM conversational flows
- Implement safeguards to ensure safe, reliable, and governed AI behavior
3. Conversational Design
- Define intents, entities, and user journeys
- Design conversational guidelines including tone, style, and fallback strategies
- Structure and optimize knowledge bases to improve response quality and relevance
4. Architecture, Testing & Continuous Improvement
- Assess technical feasibility, architecture, and integrations
- Monitor performance using KPIs such as:
- Intent recognition rate
- Fallback rate
- User satisfaction
- Perform testing, fine-tuning, and continuous optimization
- Identify and mitigate technical risks and performance issues
5. Documentation & Collaboration
- Document architectures, configurations, and deployment processes
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, designers, engineers, and analysts
- Support deployment, scaling, and continuous enhancement of solutions
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
- Computer Science
- Artificial Intelligence
- Engineering or related field
Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in Conversational AI (chatbots/voicebots)
- Proven experience in deploying AI solutions in production environments
- Strong experience with:
- NLU platforms (e.g., Cognigy, Dialogflow, Rasa)
- LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, Mistral)
- Experience with Agentic AI / AI agents is a plus
- Familiarity with STT/TTS and telephony integrations
- Experience working in Agile environments
Technical Skills
- Prompt Engineering in hybrid NLU + LLM environments
- Conversational flow design (intents, entities, journeys)
- Strong experience with:
- APIs (REST, Webhooks, OAuth)
- Programming (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript)
- Data formats (JSON, YAML)
- Databases (SQL / NoSQL)
- Knowledge base structuring and optimization
- Bot monitoring, analytics, and continuous improvement
