Freedom Management Ltd, a subsidiary of Freedom Holding Corp, is a dynamic and fast-growing provider of financial services across banking, brokerage, and insurance sectors. As part of our strategic expansion across the MENA region, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Corporate Actions Specialist to join our Abu Dhabi office.

About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Corporate Actions Specialist to join our team and manage the full lifecycle of corporate actions across global markets. This role covers both mandatory and voluntary events for equities and fixed income instruments, with a strong focus on operational accuracy, tax compliance, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Corporate Actions Processing
  • Monitor, capture, and process all corporate actions including dividends, redemptions, rights issues, and tender offers.
  • Stakeholder Coordination
  • Liaise with custodians, prime brokers, and counterparties to ensure timely and accurate execution of events.
  • Client & Internal Communication
  • Provide timely updates to clients and internal teams regarding corporate actions, deadlines, and outcomes.
  • QI/QDD Compliance
  • Apply and document withholding tax rules for income events under the QI/QDD framework.
  • Reconciliation & Accuracy
  • Verify positions and entitlements, ensuring accurate outcomes and payments.
  • System Data Integrity
  • Maintain high data quality across internal platforms (TraderNet, trading systems, banking platforms).
  • Process Improvement
  • Identify and implement automation and efficiency enhancements in corporate actions workflows.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Work closely with Back Office, Finance, and Compliance to ensure operational alignment and reporting accuracy.

Probationary Period Assessment Criteria

  1. Timely and error-free processing of corporate actions.
  2. Effective coordination with custodians, brokers, and internal teams.
  3. Implementation of QI/QDD controls in corporate actions handling.

Professional Competencies

  • 35 years of experience in corporate actions within brokerage, custody, or investment banking.
  • Strong knowledge of equity and fixed income products.
  • Understanding of QI/QDD withholding implications.
  • Experience in reconciliation and settlement processes.
  • High attention to detail and deadline management.
  • Familiarity with post-trade systems (TraderNet, Bloomberg, or similar).
