Job Description

A leading organisation within the automotive sector is seeking a Public Relations Manager to lead PR strategy, media relations, corporate communications, and brand reputation. This role will be responsible for driving media visibility, managing crisis communications, and executing high‑profile media and stakeholder engagements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive PR and communications strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Define PR KPIs, measurement frameworks, and ROI metrics
  • Manage and track PR budgets to ensure efficiency and impact

Media Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and key professionals across automotive, lifestyle, and business media
  • Proactively pitch stories, press releases, and PR articles to secure high‑quality earned and paid media coverage
  • Act as company spokesperson and manage all media inquiries
  • Organize and lead press conferences, media briefings, roundtables, Q&As, interviews, and media drive events

Content & Corporate Storytelling

  • Write, edit, and distribute PR materials including press releases, press alerts, media kits, press packs, and executive speeches
  • Develop compelling corporate storytelling around company milestones, initiatives, and PR content

Crisis Management & Brand Reputation

  • Monitor brand sentiment, media coverage, and competitor activity
  • Measure PR value, advertising value, and earned media performance
  • Lead crisis communication and emergency communication planning and execution
  • Prepare and share monthly PR dashboards and performance reports
  • Utilize media monitoring tools such as CARMA

Event Management & Partnerships

  • Plan, organize, execute, and evaluate media launch events and PR activations
  • Identify and manage strategic partnerships with relevant organizations, government entities, and industry platforms
  • Manage internal corporate events, press days, and media drive experiences

Formal Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of PR experience within the automotive industry (in‑house or agency)
  • Proven track record of securing top‑tier media coverage
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences
  • Established relationships with automotive, business, daily news, and lifestyle media
  • Experience managing crisis communications and sensitive issues
  • Strong ability to multitask and perform under pressure
  • Experience working across multiple brands within the automotive sector
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive PR reports and dashboards
  • Familiarity with PR evaluation tools and metrics, including CARMA
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic is highly preferred
  • UAE media experience is mandatory
  • Strong communicator and collaborative team player
