Job Purpose:
Minimize the deviation from the budget and ensure that the project is completed within the approved budget. Controlling project costs. Planning, developing, controlling, and forecasting the projects budget
Responsibilities and duties:
- Provide planning and cost-controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of customer billing processes, etc.
- Perform tasks required to develop and maintain budgets for a project.
- Control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Review cost estimates and make recommendations for future budgets or procurement strategies.
- Manage project accounting databases to ensure timely security and control.
- Maintain vendor and service provider relationships.
- Prepare monthly project forecasts based on extensive knowledge of ongoing project activities as well as input from other members of the project/operations team.
- Perform project costing-related reporting to the team and managements review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.
- Support accounts receivable as required during the billing processing. Monitor billing status and unbilled issues.
- Maintain the company's interests and objectives when dealing with third parties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Years of Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience working in cost control & planning.
- MS project or Primavera software is preferred
