Cost Controller

Faham Group is looking for a Cost Controller to join our Finance team and support our growing manufacturing operations.

The role will be responsible for product costing, monitoring production variances, analyzing material and labor consumption, and providing cost insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

The Cost Controller acts as a key link between Finance, Production, Supply Chain, and Sales, ensuring accurate cost data and supporting management in making informed decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

Product Costing & Standard Cost Management

Develop and maintain standard cost models for all product categories.

Review and validate Bill of Materials (BOMs).

Update cost structures based on raw material price changes, labor costs, and overhead

allocations.

Ensure accurate costing setup within the ERP system (Odoo).

Production Cost Monitoring

Track actual manufacturing costs vs standard costs.

Analyze production orders and monitor cost per order.

Identify cost overruns and operational inefficiencies.

Variance Analysis

Perform regular analysis on:

Material consumption variance

Labor efficiency variance

Production yield and wastage

Overhead absorption variance

Inventory Cost Control

Monitor raw materials, WIP, and finished goods valuation.

Analyze inventory movements and identify slow-moving or obsolete materials.

Ensure proper costing of imported materials and landed costs.

Support periodic inventory counts and reconciliation.

Cost Reporting

Prepare regular reports including:

Product cost analysis

Manufacturing variance reports Profitability by product category Cost trend analysis Production efficiency indicators

Pricing & Commercial Support

Support Sales and Management in product pricing decisions.

Provide cost breakdowns to ensure target margins are maintained.

Evaluate the profitability of new product.

ERP & Process Improvement

Maintain accurate costing structures within Odoo ERP.

Support ERP improvements related to manufacturing costing and reporting.

Recommend process improvements to strengthen cost control and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Cost Accounting.
• Professional certifications such as CMA / ACCA / CPA.
• 5-7 years of experience in cost accounting and manufacturing.
• Experience in manufacturing industries such as joinery, furniture, construction materials, or industrial production.
• Experience with standard costing, BOM costing, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles.
