Job Title: Cost estimation engineer

Location: Cairo

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Estimation engineer with 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in civil engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various projects, ensuring that all estimates align with company policies and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including but not limited to site work, structural elements, mechanical systems, and electrical components.

Conduct thorough quantity take-offs to support accurate estimating across all disciplines.

Analyze project drawings and specifications to determine scope of work and identify labor, material, and equipment requirements.

Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop budgets and ensure compliance with financial targets.

Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to select the most competitive offers while maintaining quality standards.

Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary to gather information for accurate estimating.

Utilize construction management software and tools for tracking costs and managing estimates effectively.

Provide ongoing support during the bidding process, including responding to inquiries about estimates and assisting in negotiations.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

3-5 years of experience in cost estimation within the construction industry.

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Bid2Win) is preferred.

Proficiency in estimation tools (e.g., Primavera, SAP).

Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
