Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Counselor. The Counselor will be responsible for providing academic and personal counseling to students, helping them identify, plan and achieve their educational and career objectives. The Counselor will also provide assistance with college applications, scholarships, and financial aid, and will maintain accurate records of student progress.
Qualifications
- Counseling and guidance skills, including the ability to listen, empathize, and motivate students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to establish rapport with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in academic counseling and college admissions procedures
- Knowledge of colleges and universities worldwide, and their admission requirements, scholarships, and financial aid procedures
- Experience working with online and offline databases and record management systems
- Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or related field
- Master's degree in Counseling or related field is a plus
- Experience living, studying, or working abroad is a plus
