Close Protection Officer (CPO) – Expatriate
NSSG is currently seeking qualified and experienced Close Protection Officers (CPOs) to support ongoing and upcoming operations.
Provide professional close protection and risk mitigation services to international media personnel and associated staff operating in potentially hostile or high-risk environments.
The Expatriate CPO is responsible for the overall security posture of the team, threat monitoring, route planning, and coordination with local assets, including drivers, fixers, and support networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide close protection services to journalists, executives, or production teams.
- Conduct advance reconnaissance and route planning prior to all movements.
- Perform dynamic threat and risk assessments during deployments.
- Coordinate with local CPOs, drivers, fixers, and logistics providers.
- Maintain a low-profile protective posture appropriate for media operations.
- Monitor local security developments and provide real-time situational awareness.
- Implement contingency plans and emergency extraction procedures if required.
- Maintain communication with the operations center or tasking authority.
- Ensure compliance with client safety protocols and duty of care obligations.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in military, law enforcement, or government security units.
- Demonstrated experience in close protection or hostile environment operations.
- Advanced medical qualification (FREC 3 or equivalent minimum).
- Defensive and evasive driving training preferred.
- Experience supporting media organizations or high-risk travel operations is desirable.
