Salary 20,000 30,000 AED/month

Requirements:

  • 46 years experience in Credit Risk within a Bank, NBFC, or FinTech environment, ideally focused on SME financing, trade finance, supply chain finance, or working capital lending
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end credit processes, including underwriting, risk assessment, portfolio management, and collections
  • Strong understanding of SME credit models, B2B trade credit, invoice discounting, and alternative credit assessment approaches
  • Solid background in financial analysis, cash-flow modeling, and exposure management
  • Experience working within FSRA, DIFC, or other GCC regulatory frameworks
  • Professional qualification such as CA, CFA, or FRM
  • MBA in Finance, Risk Management, or Strategy from a reputable institution
  • Hands-on exposure to data-driven risk analytics and collaboration with data science teams on credit automation initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Risk Strategy & Underwriting

  • Design, implement, and continuously optimize credit risk frameworks, underwriting policies, and decisioning models for SME invoice financing and working capital products
  • Own end-to-end credit underwriting processes, ensuring adherence to internal risk appetite and FSRA regulatory standards
  • Develop and apply quantitative and qualitative credit assessment methodologies, including financial statement analysis, cash-flow modeling, and borrower risk profiling
  • Lead and present cases at Credit Committee level, clearly articulating risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and approval recommendations

Portfolio Risk Management & Performance Monitoring

  • Oversee portfolio-level risk management, including exposure monitoring, concentration risk, and credit quality trends
  • Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and sensitivity modeling to assess portfolio resilience under varying macroeconomic conditions
  • Build and maintain exposure management and risk-return optimization models to support sustainable growth
  • Partner closely with Sales and Business Development to structure commercially viable financing solutions aligned with risk controls

Data, Automation & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Data Science, Product, and Technology teams to develop automated, data-driven credit scoring and decision engines
  • Contribute to the enhancement of digital loan origination, underwriting, and monitoring workflows to support scalability
  • Support the transition from transaction-level underwriting to portfolio-level risk oversight as the financing book scales

Risk Reporting & Governance

  • Ensure all credit risk policies, frameworks, and reporting are fully compliant with FSRA and relevant GCC regulatory requirements
  • Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and portfolio benchmarks to support strategic decision-making
  • Prepare high-quality risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management, audit committees, and the Board
  • Provide clear, data-driven insights on portfolio performance, risk exposure, and emerging credit risks

About the Role:

We are seeking a Credit Risk Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing credit risk strategies, underwriting frameworks, portfolio management, and collections strategies for SME financing solutions. The role requires a strong foundation in managing credit risk within a banking, NBFC, or FinTech environment, preferably across supply chain finance, trade finance, or working capital loan products. The individual will collaborate closely with Data Science, Sales, Product, and Executive Management to drive a risk management framework that is agile, scalable, and aligned with growth objectives. This role is pivotal to the firm's expansion strategy, transitioning into portfoliolevel risk oversight for an expanding financing book.
