Role Overview
The Healthcare Technology Lead is responsible for guiding the technical development of DIME's platform and making sure the system is reliable, secure, and ready to scale in real clinical environments. This role connects product vision with engineering execution, leading the architecture, infrastructure, and quality standards that support a healthcare system handling sensitive clinical data.
The position requires a strong understanding of backend systems, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity practices, and modern frontend frameworks, with a focus on building stable and secure health technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead the design and development of DIME's core healthcare platform
- Guide engineering decisions related to architecture, performance, and scalability
- Coordinate development efforts across backend, frontend, and infrastructure teams
- Ensure the platform is prepared to support large numbers of users and clinical data workflows
- Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including deployment, monitoring, and scaling
- Establish and maintain DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and deployment
- Implement system monitoring, logging, and performance management
- Oversee development of backend services using Node.js
- Design APIs and service architecture that support healthcare workflows
- Ensure backend systems are secure, efficient, and well-documented
- Work with the product and frontend teams using React.js to build responsive and reliable interfaces
- Ensure frontend systems integrate smoothly with backend services
- Implement strong cybersecurity practices suitable for healthcare data
- Maintain compliance with data protection and healthcare security standards
- Establish secure authentication, access control, and encryption practices
- Define and maintain software quality assurance standards
- Implement testing practices including automated testing and code review processes
- Ensure stable releases and reliable system performance
REQUIREMENTS- 6+ years experience in software engineering or technical leadership roles
- Strong experience with Node.js backend development
- Solid experience with React.js or modern frontend frameworks
- Hands-on experience managing infrastructure on AWS
- Experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD, infrastructure management, deployment pipelines)
- Understanding of cybersecurity practices for cloud applications
- Experience implementing QA standards and software testing practices
- Experience working on healthtech platforms or healthcare systems
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards or clinical systems
- Experience designing scalable cloud-based architectures
