Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team and contribute to protecting the organization's systems, networks, and data against evolving cyber threats. The role ensures the effective use of cybersecurity tools and technologies to monitor, analyze, and detect potential risks, while supporting the implementation of security controls and best practices. The position also involves responding to security incidents and providing advisory support across departments to strengthen the overall security posture of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity alerts, incidents, and network traffic to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
- Implement and enforce security policies, controls, and tools to protect systems and reduce risks to acceptable levels.
- Manage vulnerabilities, including running patching processes and conducting technical and non-technical risk assessments.
- Track, document, and report cybersecurity incidents from detection to resolution, including analyzing trends and security posture.
- Analyze logs and data from multiple sources to detect anomalies and support threat identification.
- Evaluate and test cybersecurity systems and practices to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
- Develop and enhance cyber defense tools and capabilities.
- Provide regular reports on cybersecurity activities, incidents, and trends to management.
- Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats and communicate risks effectively to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor in Cyber security, IT, Computer Science or any related field.
- CEH or/and Security + (Preferred).
- Strong IT skills and knowledge including hardware, software and networks
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT systems.
- Ability to seek out vulnerabilities in IT infrastructures.
