Job Profile

Support the secure operation and protection of enterprise IT infrastructure by implementing, maintaining, and monitoring cybersecurity controls that safeguard networks, servers, systems, and supporting technologies against cyber threats and vulnerabilities. The role is responsible for ensuring that infrastructure components are securely configured, continuously monitored, and maintained in accordance with approved security baselines, standards, and best practices. The Infrastructure Security Specialist contributes to strengthening the organization's overall security posture by supporting vulnerability remediation, system hardening, patch management, and the investigation of infrastructure-related security incidents. The role works closely with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure that security requirements are embedded into daily operations, system changes, and service delivery, while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and recognized cybersecurity frameworks.

About the Role

The Infrastructure Security Specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining cybersecurity controls to protect enterprise IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain infrastructure security controls and configurations
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and network security devices
• Monitor network and infrastructure security alerts and logs
• Perform system hardening and vulnerability remediation activities
• Support patch management and security updates
• Investigate and support resolution of infrastructure security incidents
• Ensure infrastructure complies with approved security baselines
• Coordinate with IT and infrastructure teams on security requirements
• Maintain documentation related to infrastructure security controls
• Support audits, assessments, and compliance activities
• Implement and maintain Virtualization security controls and configurations
• Configure and manage advanced infrastructure solutions like Load Balancer, WAF, DNS and network security devices

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or Cybersecurity

Required Skills

• Network security architecture and infrastructure protection
• Firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS configuration and management
• System hardening for servers and network devices
• Vulnerability scanning and remediation techniques
• Patch management and security updates
• Log monitoring and infrastructure security analysis
• Troubleshooting complex infrastructure security issues
• Knowledge of security baselines and configuration standards
• Understanding of Zero Trust and defence in depth principles
• Coordination with IT, network, and operations teams

Preferred Skills

2-4 Years of experience in infrastructure security engineering or network security operations in enterprise IT or critical systems environments.
