Overview:
As a Data Analyst at Al-Qadsiah Club, you will support all stages of the data analytics lifecycle, delivering insights that drive decision-making across both the First Team and Academy. Working closely with coaches, analysts, and scouts, you will play a pivotal role in integrating data-driven strategies into the club's football operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Processing
- Extract, transform, and load data from event, tracking, and performance sources
- Ensure data consistency and accuracy for effective analysis
- Support individual and team evaluations through robust data management
- Identify performance trends to support tactical planning
Dashboard Development
- Maintain and improve the club's analytics platforms
- Integrate new data sources to enhance insights
- Optimize dashboards for the evolving needs of staff
- Ensure dashboards are intuitive and informative
Data Visualization
- Design compelling visualizations to communicate key insights
- Present data in an intuitive format for technical and non-technical audiences
- Continuously improve visuals based on feedback
Insight Translation
- Translate technical findings into actionable football insights
- Communicate with stakeholders to inform tactical and strategic decisions
- Ensure analytical output is aligned with club objectives
Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or a related field
Desirable:
- Master's Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
Skills
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Proven experience in sports data analysis, preferably football
- Proficient in Python and SQL
- Skilled in data visualization using Tableau or Power BI
- Familiar with football performance and tracking data
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to communicate technical findings to various audiences
- High attention to detail in data processing and interpretation
- Culturally adaptable, with a willingness to learn about Saudi football
- Fluent in English; Arabic and Spanish are an advantage
- Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is desirable
