JOB PURPOSE
The Manager, Account (Data Center) is responsible for driving business growth by identifying, developing, and managing client relationships within the data center sector. This client-facing role combines deep understanding of data center solutions with strong commercial expertise to win new business, expand existing accounts, and achieve revenue targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the data center market including hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise segments
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve annual revenue and booking targets
- Lead the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract closure
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning
- Develop compelling value propositions tailored to client-specific requirements
Account Management & Client Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts and strategic clients
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with C-level executives, facility directors, and technical decision-makers
- Understand client business objectives, expansion plans, and data center roadmaps
- Identify opportunities for account expansion, upselling, and cross-selling of services
- Ensure client satisfaction through regular engagement, feedback collection, and issue resolution
- Organize and lead client business reviews, executive briefings, and strategic planning sessions.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape in the data center industry
- Provide market feedback to leadership for service offering development and strategic planning
- Identify partnership opportunities with technology vendors, consultants, and complementary service providers
- Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
- Contribute to thought leadership through presentations, white papers, and industry publications
- Track and analyze competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market positioning
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline)
- Professional certifications such as ATD, CDCP or relevant sales certifications are advantageous
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in the data center industry with at least 5 years in sales, business development, or account management roles
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in EPC, engineering services, or technology solutions
- Demonstrated experience managing large, complex accounts and multi-million Saudi Riyal opportunities
- Experience with data center projects across hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise segments
- Strong network of relationships within the data center ecosystem (owners, operators, consultants, contractors)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including technical, delivery, and commercial functions
Technical & Business Knowledge
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure: power systems, cooling technologies, building design, and critical facility operations
- Knowledge of data center standards and certifications (Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ASHRAE)
- Understanding of EPC project delivery models, contract structures, and commercial terms
- Proficiency in Salesforce
