Role Overview
As a Data Center Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational excellence and high availability of our data center facilities. As part of our team, you'll be overseeing the integrated infrastructure essential for mission-critical operations. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and ELV systems while working with experienced professionals and vendors in a high-standard setting.
Responsibilities
- Operate data center facilities in alignment with approved SOPs, MOPs, and Tier-aligned operational standards to maintain redundancy and availability.
- Monitor and support the performance of electrical, mechanical, and ELV systems, ensuring optimal uptime and reliability.
- Manage day-to-day, planned, and corrective maintenance activities, including coordination with vendors and maintenance planners.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of operational trackers, monthly reporting, and audit-ready documentation.
- Respond promptly to incidents, participate in troubleshooting, and support client rack power-up and installation procedures.
- Enforce HSE requirements, oversee permit-to-work and lockout/tagout procedures, and uphold safe working practices.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and clients to coordinate maintenance and respond to operational events.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending enhancements to operational governance.
Must Have Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in integrated data center maintenance and operations within mission-critical environments.
- Expertise in data center electrical systems: UPS, battery systems, generators, MV/LV switchgear, ATS/STS, and power distribution.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems: chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, cooling towers, pumps, valves, and thermal management.
- Demonstrated proficiency with ELV and monitoring systems including BMS, EPMS, DCIM, fire detection/suppression, access control, and CCTV.
- Hands-on experience with planned and corrective maintenance, risk assessment, and MOP execution.
- Understanding of Uptime Institute Tier concepts including redundancy, fault tolerance, and maintainability principles.
- Knowledge of change management, risk control, and incident response in live environments.
- Experience preparing operational reports, maintaining maintenance logs and change records, and supporting audit activities.
- Proven ability to enforce HSE requirements and apply safe working practices, including permit-to-work and lockout/tagout processes.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with diverse stakeholders during maintenance and incident response.

- Prior experience in the data center industry, especially within high-availability or hyperscale facilities.
- Certifications related to data center operations, electrical/mechanical systems, or critical environment safety practices.
- Experience working with international compliance standards and audit frameworks relevant to data centers.
