We are representing a global IT consultancy to find a Data Center Engineer in Riyadh. As a Data Center Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of data center infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and debugging technical issues related to NetApp storage, Cisco UCS, Dell/HPE/Lenovo Rack Servers, Veritas NetBackup, and VMware Data Center Virtualization.
- Managing, maintaining, and supporting various systems, servers, and services on behalf of Production Technology, including network devices, network-attached storage devices, and enterprise-class servers.
- Acting as the primary technical support responder to isolate, diagnose, and resolve complex network/storage problems.
- Producing detailed implementation instructions and carrying out necessary changes for tasks, projects, incidents, problems, and requested changes/improvements.
- Writing functional requirements/specifications documents and updating/maintaining all requested documentation.
- Providing excellent customer service support through clear verbal and written communication.
- Collaborating with equipment vendors and customer support for ticket resolution, troubleshooting, problem escalation, including phone support and on-site or remote root cause analysis.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in NetApp storage administration and implementation with enterprise-level hardware and software.
- 10 years of experience in Cisco UCS administration and implementation.
- 10 years of experience in Dell/HPE/Lenovo rack servers implementation, remote board, and BIOS settings.
- 5 years of experience in VMware Data Center virtualization implementation and administration.
- 5 years of experience in Veritas NetBackup administration and implementation.
- Knowledge of Enterprise/Mid-Tier NetApp storage systems, configuration, and management using the CLI.
- Familiarity with Block/File/Object storage technologies.
- Deep technical expertise and hands-on experience with hardware vendors, including Cisco, Dell/HPE/Lenovo rack servers, and general data center facility wiring/fiber/connectivity requirements.
