Data Engineer - Microsoft Purview Developer

A Purview Developer with a Data Engineering background specializes in implementing enterprise data governance, cataloguing, lineage, and compliance using Microsoft Purview, good to have understanding on data pipelines, Lakehouse's, warehouses, and analytics platforms.
- Purview Developer with 6+ years of experience
- Design and implement Microsoft Purview (Classic & Enterprise) solutions
- Configure enterprise data cataloguing, Metadata management, scanning, classification, sensitivity labels, glossary, Data quality and stewardship concepts
- Ability to map technical pipelines to business lineage
- Optimize metadata capture from real-world pipelines (not just auto-scan)
- Implement PII detection, RBAC, data access / compliance policies, and governance workflows, Support regulatory compliance (PII, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
- Support impact analysis and data discovery for business users
- Partner with Data Engineers, Architects, Security, and Compliance teams, Support audit, regulatory, and risk management initiatives
- Data quality and stewardship concepts
- Integrate Purview with Microsoft Fabric for governed self-service analytics, Enable end-to-end data lineage across Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, Synapse, SQL, ADLS, and Power BI
