Looking for Data Engineer to support large-scale analytics and reporting initiatives by designing and maintaining robust data pipelines, enterprise data models, and semantic layers. The role focuses on data engineering, integration, and modeling, with Power BI used as the reporting and visualization layer consuming the engineered data assets
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade data pipelines using SQL Server and SSIS
- Build and manage ETL/ELT workflows to integrate data from multiple internal and external sources
- Develop and maintain semantic models and analytical layers using SSAS
- Design and implement data warehouse structures
- Ensure high standards of data quality, consistency, security, and governance
- Optimize SQL queries, data models, and ETL processes for performance and scalability
- Partner with business, analytics, and reporting teams to translate requirements into data models
- Enable and support Power BI reporting by providing certified, well-documented datasets
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline and model issues
- Maintain technical documentation and data lineage artifacts
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and advanced T-SQL
- Proven experience developing SSIS-based ETL solutions
- Solid expertise in SSAS for semantic modeling
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and BI architecture
- Experience supporting Power BI as a reporting and consumption layer
- Experience working in large, complex, or enterprise environments
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy
