Consultant – Data Governance (IT & Cybersecurity)
- Location: UAE
- Full-Time | 3-Year Contract with 2-Year Extension Option
- 18,000–20,000 AED/month | Tax-Free Salary
We are hiring a Consultant in Data Governance to support the development and implementation of data governance frameworks within IT and cybersecurity environments. This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in regulated industries — preferably aviation — who is ready to take the next step in their data career.
You will work alongside senior consultants and technical teams to help define and operationalise data governance policies, processes, and controls within the cybersecurity and IT domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing data governance policies and procedures across IT and cybersecurity functions
- Support data classification, access control, and metadata management efforts
- Help document and maintain data ownership and stewardship models
- Ensure governance alignment with internal security policies and relevant standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)
- Work with business and technical teams to improve data quality and ensure consistency in data usage
- Participate in training and awareness initiatives to promote data governance best practices
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in data governance, data management, or information governance roles
- Exposure to cybersecurity, IT risk, or compliance environments
- Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Microsoft Purview)
- Basic understanding of regulatory and security frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
- Airline or aviation industry experience is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
