We are looking for an experienced Data Integration & BI Architect to lead the design and implementation of a digital sales data and dashboard ecosystem.
The role will be responsible for integrating multiple platforms including eCommerce, CRM, analytics, customer experience (CX), pricing, and backend systems into a unified and scalable data architecture. The successful candidate will establish reliable data pipelines and models while taking end-to-end ownership of high-performance Power BI dashboards that support executive and operational decision-making.
This is a highly hands-on role requiring strong expertise across data integration, data architecture, data modeling, BI development, data quality, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Data Integration & Architecture
- Design and implement scalable data architecture connecting eCommerce, CRM, analytics, CX, pricing, and backend systems.
- Develop and manage robust data pipelines using APIs and ETL/ELT processes.
- Define appropriate real-time and batch data flows based on business and reporting requirements.
- Design integration patterns that support scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Ensure secure handling of customer-level and business-sensitive data.
- Collaborate with IT and application teams to resolve integration and data-flow issues.
Data Modeling & Single Source of Truth
- Design scalable data models covering customer, sales funnel, policy, and digital channel data.
- Establish and maintain a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) across reporting and analytics.
- Standardize data structures, definitions, naming conventions, and reporting logic across systems.
- Translate complex multi-source data into clean, structured, business-ready datasets.
Power BI & Dashboard Development
- Take end-to-end ownership of Power BI dashboard development, from data preparation and modeling through visualization and deployment.
- Build datasets, relationships, measures, calculations, and business logic supporting executive and operational reporting.
- Develop automated, scalable, and high-performing dashboards.
- Enable drill-down and segmentation across dimensions such as channel, customer type, and funnel stage.
- Ensure dashboards provide accurate and actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Data Quality & Governance
- Define and implement data validation rules, controls, and monitoring mechanisms.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and reliability across integrated systems.
- Identify root causes of data-quality issues and coordinate remediation with relevant IT teams.
- Establish appropriate data governance standards and practices.
Performance Optimization & Maintenance
- Optimize data pipelines, refresh cycles, datasets, and dashboard performance.
- Minimize reporting latency and manual data preparation.
- Manage ongoing enhancements and ensure the data ecosystem can scale with evolving business requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation covering architecture, integrations, data models, and data flows.
Key Deliverables
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver a data architecture blueprint, integrated cross-system data pipelines, clean and structured reporting datasets, end-to-end executive and operational Power BI dashboards, and a robust data governance and quality framework.
Performance will be measured through system integration coverage, data accuracy and consistency, refresh latency, dashboard performance and availability, and reduction in manual data preparation.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience across Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Integration, and/or Data Architecture.
- Proven experience designing and integrating data from multiple enterprise systems, including CRM, analytics, CX, and backend platforms.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Power BI, including end-to-end dashboard development.
- Advanced SQL skills.
- Strong experience in data modeling and designing scalable reporting datasets.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools, preferably Azure Data Factory (ADF) or equivalent.
- Strong experience implementing and consuming API integrations.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
- Experience defining batch and real-time data integration patterns.
- Experience implementing data-quality, validation, and governance controls.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex cross-system data issues.
- Experience working within a digital business or eCommerce environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to translate business reporting requirements into technical architecture.
