Position Title - Data Privacy Consultant
Employment Type - 6-months contract (extendable)
Work Location - Abu Dhabi, UAE
Key Responsibilities
- Privacy Compliance & Advisory
- Assess organizational compliance with global data privacy laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement privacy policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Advise on cross-border data transfers and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Assessment & Management
- Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
- Identify and mitigate privacy risks in business processes and technology solutions.
- Privacy-by-Design & Technology Enablement
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed privacy controls in systems and applications.
- Recommend technical and organizational measures for data protection.
- Training & Awareness
- Deliver privacy training and awareness programs for employees and stakeholders.
- Audit & Reporting
- Support internal and external audits related to data privacy compliance.
- Prepare reports for senior management and regulators as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certifications: CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalent preferred.
- 5 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or cybersecurity consulting.
- Strong understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other global privacy frameworks.
- Experience with privacy tools and technologies (e.g., OneTrust).
Preferred Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies (AI, Cloud, IoT) and their privacy implications.
