Data science instructor

Role Description

This is a contract, on-site role for a Data Science Instructor based in Alexandria. The Data Science Instructor will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging lessons that cover essential data science topics, including mathematical concepts, data analysis, and statistical techniques. The role involves preparing lesson plans, teaching diverse student groups, assessing student progress, and providing individualized support to foster growth in their data science skills. The instructor will also collaborate with the training team to improve course materials and ensure the curriculum aligns with industry standards and trends.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Science Education, Physics, and Mathematics principles related to data science
• Experience as a Qualified Teacher with strong skills in Lesson Planning
• Ability to break down complex concepts to make them comprehensible for learners
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Familiarity with data science tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) is a plus
• Prior teaching experience or a background in education technology is advantageous
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
