Job Scope
The Data Scientist is responsible for using data to generate insights for decision-making and solving complex problems. Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and design data solutions in close collaboration with Business Analysts
- Conduct use case ideation sessions and perform data discovery exercises to qualify high value use cases
- Build and deploy machine learning models to generate predictions and insights
- Collect, clean and prepare data for analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, Dataiku, etc.
- Analyze large and complex data sets using statistical and mathematical methods to identify patterns, trends and insights
- Communicate data insights and recommendations to stakeholders through visualizations, reports and presentations
- Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve data analysis performance and scalability on a regular basis
- Troubleshoot and debug data analysis issues and monitor data quality
- Assist Data Engineers in creating robust data pipelines to feed the data into AI models and help with deploying into production
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Data Engineers to write high-quality documents like BRS, LLD, handover documents, etc.
- Conduct training sessions for clients as and when needed
- Foster relationships with clients at appropriate levels while delivering quality services and driving high-quality work products within expected timeframes and budget
- Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed on progress and expected outcomes
- Manage expectations of client service delivery especially around model results, benefits and ROI
- Keep up with industry trends, business news and key sectors updates namely telecom, banking, retail, insurance, education and transportation among others
Position Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any other related field
Experience
At least 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
