We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance our database environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, high availability solutions, and disaster recovery, with solid knowledge of Windows Server and Azure administration. This role requires hands-on experience in troubleshooting, optimizing performance, and ensuring database stability and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across production, staging, and development environments.
- Oversee database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
- Implement and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, including clustering and replication.
- Perform regular database backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Troubleshoot database issues related to performance, connectivity, and system failures.
- Manage and monitor clustered environments to ensure reliability and operational continuity.
- Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams to support database requirements.
- Install, configure, and manage SQL Server instances and related tools.
- Apply patches, updates, and security enhancements to databases and servers.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and organizational policies.
- Provide on-call support as required to resolve critical issues.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in core database administration.
- At least 5 years of experience specifically in Microsoft SQL Server and database administration.
- Certifications:
- MCSA: Windows Server 2016 or equivalent
- MCSA: Office 365
- MCSE: Productivity
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- MCSA: SQL Database Administration
- Knowledge in Oracle Database Administration is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in clustered and disaster recovery environments.
- Proven experience in high-availability solutions for Cluster & DR environments.
