Requirements & Qualifications
- Platform Expertise: Proven track record as a DBA with deep technical knowledge of SQL Server (20192022) and PostgreSQL (v12v16); experience with recent major releases is essential.
- GIS Capability: Advanced proficiency in managing PostGIS extensions is highly desirable to support specialized spatial data workloads.
- Performance Tuning: Expert-level command of database internals, execution plans and optimization techniques for both SQL Server and PostgresSQL database servers
- Architectural Resilience: Demonstrated experience designing and deploying complex High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures (e.g., AlwaysOn, Patroni, or Streaming Replication).
- Data Integrity & Recovery: Comprehensive experience in architecting enterprise backup/restore strategies and managing Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR) scenarios.
- Security: Strong familiarity with enterprise security protocols, encryption standards and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001).
- Troubleshooting: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to lead L3-level troubleshooting and performance diagnostics.
- Professional Certification: Valid industry certifications are mandatory.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
