Database Administrator ( Saudi National )

The role holder is responsible to support in planning, deploying, and governing the Enterprise Architecture for SGS, based on the IT strategy and establishing a strong and responsive technology delivery system that extends across functions. Also participate in reviewing overall IT enterprise architecture design, guiding the necessary changes/improvements, formulating future technology strategies and enabling efficient delivery of critical business processes.

Operational

1. Contribute in the roadmaps and migration strategies for applications and information technology architecture to meet business demands and growth across multiple functions and with critical IT systems. 2. Support performing the required analysis to define the architecture roadmap with the goal of reducing costs and improving time to market for IT services in general, but specifically also for the assigned functions. 3. Review the compliance of solution architectures with the master IT enterprise architecture. 4. Undertake the development and review of proposals of SGS projects for external customers. 5. Undertake cost-benefit analysis for adopting new technologies and alignment with technology strategies. 6. Assist in development of IT technical standards documentation to ensure technology compliance. 7. Define and maintain data, application, and technology architecture. 8. Own IT solutions that are used by multiple functions in the Company or are business critical. Be an escalation point of contact for those functions within IT and attend all business scoping meetings.

Support managing IT implementation projects for the functions assigned using internal & external resources per the IT masterplan & management directions. Oversee procurement work and review contracts and recommend changes/amendments before signature. 10. Meet regularly with business managers to obtain feedback on IT support and project management. 11. Attend business review meetings with the assigned functions to understand the concepts being discussed and future directions of the Company/Functions to align IT with the business direction. 12. Liaise with relevant departments to ensure integration and harmony of the architecture. 13. Undertake the maintenance and continuous update of application blueprint in order to ensure overall application architecture visibility. 14. Keep abreast with industry related technologies and trends and guides the technology roadmap development in line with SGS's Business requirements. 15. Ensure leveraging the knowledge resources in SGS to provide technical recommendations and trends to other stakeholders within IT Function. 16. Contributes to performing design reviews in order to ensure that all IT applications are inter-operable, manageable and adaptable. 17. Assess any possible redundancy of IT application functionalities within the application architecture in order to minimize costs. 18. Contributes to planning for future application architecture is properly identified and complies with leading frameworks and standards. 19. Ensure data architecture is implemented effectively and all architectural and technical standards are adhered to. 20. Develop optimized solutions and proposes domain specific remedial solutions to existing data inconsistencies and lack of integrity in order to optimize data storage and reduce costs.
