The project:
This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.
As delivery director, you will take executive responsibility for the safe, high-quality, and on-schedule delivery of a major residential portfolio. Working within a large, integrated programme organisation, you will provide leadership to package delivery teams, ensure alignment with master schedule requirements, and drive performance across contractors, consultants, and internal delivery partner groups.
You'll be responsible for:
Lead safe, highquality, and compliant project delivery, championing wellbeing, inclusion, and adherence to local regulations.
Provide strategic direction across key assignments, ensuring strong governance and trusted client relationships that drive growth.
Oversee ethical, commercially robust operations and shape longterm business strategy.
Develop, mentor, and mobilise teams, promoting innovation, best practice, and talent excellence.
Act as the senior point of contact across internal delivery partner teams, consultants, contractors, supervision consultants, and wider stakeholders.
Lead the overall construction delivery strategy for the residential programme, ensuring alignment with the master schedule, commercial targets, and quality expectations.
Ensure robust delivery governance, reporting structures, risk management, and issue escalation pathways.
Manage interfaces across infrastructure, utilities, design, commercial, and programme controls.
Support procurement strategies, package sequencing, contractor capability assessments, and tender evaluations.
Drive value engineering, cost optimisation, and risk mitigation strategies across delivery.
Lead executive reporting, including progress dashboards, risk registers, mitigation plans, and performance summaries.
You'll need to have:
20+ years experience delivering major construction projects, including large-scale residential or mixed-use developments.
Degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field.
Chartered status preferred (e.g., ICE, CIOB, PMI, or equivalent).
Strong track record in managing multi-package delivery on complex, fast-track programmes.
Experience in a PMC, delivery partner, or Tier 1 contractor leadership role.
Proven leadership of large, diverse teams and effective seniorlevel stakeholder management.
Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
