Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented Design Architect with a strong flair for concept development and visual storytelling. In this role, you will contribute to the early design stages of ambitious projects such as MixedUse, Commercial, Hospitality, Residential, and Retail projects.
You will support senior leadership by developing design ideas, crafting presentation material, and collaborating closely within a multidisciplinary team. This position is ideal for a designer who is curious, expressive, and eager to grow into a stronger conceptual role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Concept Design & Creative Development
- Support Concept Creation: Assist in developing early design studies, massing options, and architectural narratives across various project types.
- Design Ideation: Produce sketches, diagrams, and 3D models to explore ideas and communicate options clearly and quickly.
- Contextual Thinking: Contribute to design solutions that respond to site, culture, and client vision.
2. Presentation & Communication
- Visual Storytelling: Help prepare highquality presentation decks, diagrams, and visuals that clearly articulate the project concept.
- Client Interaction: Participate in design discussions and support senior architects in presenting ideas to clients.
- Brief Interpretation: Assist in analyzing client requirements and translating them into coherent design directions.
3. Collaboration & Team Support
- Team Coordination: Work within a multidisciplinary environment, supporting interactions with engineering, landscape, and interiors teams to ensure conceptual alignment.
- Design Development Support: Contribute to the refinement of chosen concepts and maintain design intent throughout early stages.
- Workflow & Delivery: Balance creative exploration with project deadlines, ensuring deliverables are met on time and to a high standard.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 35 years of professional experience in architecture, with a strong emphasis on concept design or frontend phases.
- Regional Knowledge: GCC project exposure is a plus; familiarity with climateresponsive strategies and regional design context is valuable.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Portfolio: A compelling design portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking, diagrams, visual storytelling, and earlystage design work.
- Communication Skills: Clear, confident communicator with the ability to articulate ideas visually and verbally.
Soft Skills
- Strong design intuition with the ability to express ideas through sketches and diagrams.
- Proactive, curious, and open to feedback.
- Comfortable working in a fastpaced, integrated team environment.
Technical Skills
- Mastery: Rhino, Grasshopper, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- Proficiency: Revit/BIM awareness, AutoCAD.
- Visualization Tools: Enscape or Lumion for quick concept visualization.
