UNISCAFF is hiring a Design Formwork And Scaffolding Engineer.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Design Formwork and Scaffolding Engineer based in Cairo, Egypt. The role involves designing and detailing formwork and scaffolding solutions, preparing material and load calculations, and collaborating with project teams to provide optimized designs. The engineer will also visit project sites to assess requirements and ensure compliance with safety codes and design specifications, with an option for some remote work.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience working with formwork and scaffolding systems
• Proficiency in using power tools and understanding their application in construction
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in structural design
• Proficient in CAD software and other design tools; engineering degree preferred
• Ability to interpret technical and safety standards based on British, EU, or American codes
• Previous experience in construction or infrastructure projects is advantageous
• Effective communication skills and ability to function in a hybrid work environment
