Sphere are mandated with a leading global real estate consultancy who is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join its Dubai team, supporting high-profile developments across the Middle East and beyond.
This is a unique opportunity for someone outside the region to come in and work on complex, large-scale mixed-use, commercial, residential and hospitality projects, partnering with world-class clients, consultants and contractors from concept through delivery.
The Role:
As Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design process across multiple projects, ensuring alignment between client objectives, design intent, cost, programme and technical delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the end-to-end design process from concept, schematic and detailed design through to construction
- Coordinating architects, engineers and specialist consultants to ensure cohesive and efficient design outcomes
- Acting as the key interface between clients, internal project teams and external stakeholders
- Reviewing design deliverables to ensure compliance with local regulations, quality standards and project briefs
- Supporting value engineering, risk mitigation and design optimisation initiatives
- Contributing to design governance, best practice and continuous improvement across projects
Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator within a consultancy, developer or contractor environment
- Strong background large scale real estate projects
- Experience across commercial, residential, mixed-use or hospitality assets
- Excellent understanding of the design lifecycle, authority approvals and consultant coordination
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Degree-qualified in Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline
- 8+ years experience from a Tier 1 Consultancy
