We are currently seeking a skilled Lead Estimator/ Design Supervisor with at least 10 years of experience in the Furniture Trading industry within the UAE.
- Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead and supervise a team of designers and estimators, ensuring projects are completed on time and to client satisfaction.
- Mentor and train junior staff, helping them improve their design and estimation skills.
- Assign tasks and ensure efficient workload distribution across the team.
- Client Interaction & Relationship Management:
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and ensure designs meet expectations.
- Conduct meetings with clients to present design concepts, estimations, and revisions.
- Build and maintain strong client, supplier, and contractor relationships.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure designs and estimates adhere to company standards and client requirements.
- Review product specifications and ensure their accuracy and feasibility.
- Maintain high-quality standards for design execution and final delivery.
- Collaborative Design & Estimation:
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, and installation teams for seamless project execution.
- Lead design reviews and estimations for large, complex projects.
- Ensure design concepts are practical, cost-effective, and meet project requirements.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Stay updated with industry trends and materials, applying innovations in design processes.
- Suggest process improvements to increase design efficiency and project accuracy.
- Contribute to enhancing department workflows and overall project delivery.
- Supplier Management:
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best possible terms for the company.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers through clear communication and prompt issue resolution.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth procurement.
- Requirements
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the furniture trading industry.
- Proven experience leading teams and managing projects in commercial furniture design and estimation.
- Strong background in handling large-scale projects with high-quality standards.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Google SketchUp for 3D modeling and rendering of office interiors and furniture.
- Strong experience in AutoCAD for 2D drawings and space planning.
- Advanced knowledge of furniture specification and estimation processes.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and client management abilities.
- Ability to handle complex projects, with a keen eye for detail and quality control.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of commercial furniture design and the UAE market.
- Up-to-date with the latest industry trends, materials, and technologies.

- Furniture Estimation:
- At least 10 years of experience in estimating commercial furniture products and creating detailed specifications.
- Furniture Trading in UAE:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the UAE's furniture trading industry, understanding local market demands and regulations.
