Position: IT DevOps Engineer (UAE based candidates)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled IT DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure, implementing automation, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the stability and scalability of mission-critical applications. This role requires strong expertise in AWS, containerized microservice environments, CI/CD automation, observability tools, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
You will work closely with Development, Security, and IT Operations teams to deliver efficient, secure, and scalable systems that support our fast-paced, high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure, with a focus on microservice architectures.
- Administer, optimize, and secure Linux-based server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Pulumi (TypeScript).
- Build and manage robust GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, application reliability, and operational health using a comprehensive observability stack.
- Implement and maintain networking solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline deployment workflows, improve infrastructure reliability, and enhance automation.
- Ensure best practices around security, scalability, backup, and disaster recovery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly in environments built around microservice architectures.
- Strong proficiency with Linux server administration (performance tuning, security hardening, troubleshooting).
- Scripting and automation skills in Bash and Python.
- Working knowledge of TypeScript, particularly in developing infrastructure code and tooling.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, pipelines, runners, and modern deployment strategies.
- Practical experience with Pulumi for infrastructure-as-code.
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, routing, and troubleshooting.
- Deep expertise with monitoring and observability tools, including:
