The Role: DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes & GitOps Platform)
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help operate and evolve the cloud-native foundation of our multi-tenant SaaS platform.
This is not a traditional operations role.
You will work in a Kubernetes-first environment across multiple European cloud providers and help strengthen reliability, automation, security, and scalability across our distributed systems.
You will not just maintain infrastructure you will improve it, automate it, and scale it together with the engineering team.
The scope of the role will grow with your experience and ownership.
What You'll Do
- Deploy and maintain K3s Kubernetes clusters across DigitalOcean, Hetzner, and UpCloud
- Drive GitOps workflows using ArgoCD (App-of-Apps pattern, Helm, and Kustomize)
- Configure and manage Envoy Gateway (HTTPRoutes, URL rewriting, JWT authentication, CORS policies)
- Operate and secure HashiCorp Vault clusters with Kubernetes authentication, OIDC, and automatic secret injection
- Build and maintain self-hosted GitHub Actions runners on Kubernetes with auto-scaling
- Strengthen CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Deploy and operate PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Valkey (Redis-compatible), NATS, MinIO, and Typesense
- Improve observability using SigNoz and OpenTelemetry-based distributed tracing
- Implement security best practices (cert-manager, SSL/TLS automation, RBAC, network policies, security contexts)
- Troubleshoot distributed systems across networking, messaging, storage, and database layers

Infrastructure: Kubernetes (K3s), ArgoCD, Helm, Kustomize
Cloud: DigitalOcean, Hetzner, UpCloud (European providers)
Gateway & Networking: Envoy Gateway, nginx-ingress
Security: HashiCorp Vault, cert-manager, Let's Encrypt
CI/CD: GitHub Actions (self-hosted runners), Docker
Data & Messaging: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Valkey, NATS, MinIO, Typesense
Observability: SigNoz, OpenTelemetry
You Bring
- 3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments (Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, Ingress)
- Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD preferred)
- Strong Linux administration and bash scripting skills
- Solid understanding of Docker and container workflows
- CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, or similar)
- Cloud platform experience (any major provider)
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, proxies)
- Clear English communication skills
Senior-level candidates with deeper architectural, multi-cluster, or platform engineering experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
