Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Diagnostics
- Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics using diagnostic scanners and specialized tools.
- Identify faults in engine management systems, transmission, electrical, and electronic components.
- Interpret diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and technical data.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose and repair issues related to fuel systems, sensors, ECUs, ABS, and electrical systems.
- Conduct detailed inspections to determine the root cause of vehicle problems.
- Ensure repairs follow manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Technical Support
- Assist workshop technicians with complex diagnostic issues.
- Provide technical recommendations for repair solutions.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Conduct test drives and system checks to confirm successful repairs.
- Ensure vehicle performance and safety before returning to customers.
Documentation
- Maintain accurate diagnostic reports and service records.
- Communicate technical findings to service advisors and workshop managers.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or certification in Automotive Technology / Mechanical Engineering
Technical Skills
- Experience using OBD scanners and automotive diagnostic software
- Strong knowledge of engine management systems and vehicle electronics
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals
